PURPOSE:To improve the compressor performance by specifying the relation between the sum Rmm. of the radius of basic circle and rotary circle, distance (e)mm. between the center of rotary circle and specific point other than the center and the gap DELTAt between the inner wall of housing and rotor. CONSTITUTION:Assuming the sum of radius of basic circle I and rotary circle IIconstituting a trochoid curve is Rmm., the distance between the center O2 of rotary circle II and random point P on the trochoid locus except the center is (e)mm. while the gap between the inner wall of housing 2 and the top point 11 of rotor is DELTAtmm., a rotary piston compressor is constructed to satisfy such relation as Re/DELTAt>=2,000. Consequently, contacting resistance between the housing 2 and rotor 5 can be eliminated through micro gap between the housing 2 and rotor 5 without providing an apex seal to produce a rotary piston compressor having excellent compressor performance.
