PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the restarting ability of an engine after engine warm-up operation, by providing a fuel injection valve upstream of a throttle valve, and as well by opening the throttle valve from its idle opening position upon completion of engine warm-up operation. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection valve 2 is disposed upstream of a throttle valve 1 which is in turn provided with an actuator 5 controlled by a control device 6. The control device 6 detects the temperature of engine cooling water to discriminate the condition of engine warm-up. If a starter switch is turned on and the temperature of engine cooling water is above a predetermined value, the throttle actuator 5 is turned on to open the throttle valve 1 to a degree larger than the idle opening degree thereof. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the restarting ability of the engine after warm-up operation. |
