PURPOSE:To prevent the breaking of a heat exchanger using a resin-made tank due to the stress and the corrosion by a method wherein seating plates are made from brass which contains 15-35wt% Zn, 0.5-30wt% Sn, 0.1-3.0wt% Si and the rest of Cu, and a hollow groove is formed at the outside of the periphery part of said seating plates. CONSTITUTION:Tanks 5, 5' of a radiator are formed with resin, and the hollow grooves 6 are formed openings to the outside of the periphery parts of the seating plates 4, 4' being bent, and elastic seal members 7 are provided in those hollow grooves, and the flange parts 5a of resin-made tanks 5, 5' are inserted in said hollow grooves 6, and the upper parts 8 of the outside periphery of said hollow grooves are bent and secured.
