PURPOSE:To prevent a delay for visual recognition by storing data to be inputted through a telephone line, by starting to print when the next data are not inputted and by shifting a print head to a place where the last character can be visually recognized. CONSTITUTION:A print data enter through an acoustic coupler 2 a MODEM3, converted from FSK signals into demodulated data and inputted into a control part 5. The control part 5 causes a print data buffer 12a to store these data into a storage 12 again. From this point, the control part 5 activates a timer by software for a specified period, for example, of 40ms in this example, to receive the next data within 40ms and stores the data in the buffer 12a. Failing in reception of the next data in 40ms after the reception of the last characters, the c0ntrol part 5 controls a printer 9, starts printing the print data stored in the buffer 12a, continuously prints the last character, and shifts the print head to the place where the last character can be visually recognized to stop. |
