<p>The present invention provides a machine for cleaning irregularly shaped parts of substantial size, including a washing chamber, pedestal means for supporting the part to be washed during said washing and, means for washing said part on said pedestal comprising a pipe means including a frame surrounding said part on said pedestal and arranged to rotate about a vertical axis in a bearing means fixedly mounted on the top wall of said chamber, said pipe means including flushing jets spaced therealong so as to completely surround said part on said pedestal, thereby to thoroughly wash said part, jet means on said pipe frame adapted to rotate said frame about said vertical axis, and means for supplying cleaning liquid under pressure to said pipe frame during said rotation, said pipe frame being fixedly mounted on a spindle mounted for rotation about a vertical axis in a bushing on the top wall of said chamber, the lower portion of said spindle in said chamber being hollow and providing fluid communication between said pipe frame, and an inlet manifold adapted to receive cleaning liquid under pressure through a pipe means from a pump, said busing including vertically spaced roll-type thrust bearings in which said spindle rotates, and said inlet manifold being a one-piece collar surrounding said spindle and fixedly attached to the top wall of the chamber.</p> |
