PURPOSE:To obtain a food material perservable at normal temperature, by heating the processing residue of a processed marine product to remove water therefrom, continuing the heating to effect the heating of the material with oil existing in the material to be heated, and converting the bonded water in the material to bonded oil. CONSTITUTION:Processed marine product and the processing residue thereof, e.g. head of eel, etc. is heated with steam or boiling water, water is removed from the material after heating, and the heating is continued to get the material composed solely of an oil. The heating is further continued to effect the heating of the material with the oil contained therein, and to convert the bonded water in the material to bonded oil. The objective food material which can be stored for a sufficiently long period at room temperature can be prepared by this process. |
