PURPOSE:To decrease the deterioration of resolution in main scanning direction and subscanning direction by synthesizing a picture signal forecast from a picture signal before and after an picture signal of even or odd number order lines of an original picture with the said signal so as to output the synthesized picture signal. CONSTITUTION:A reading section 7 of a facsimile transmitter applies scanning photoelectric conversion and black/white binary-coding to an original, and a black/white binary picture signal (a) is fed to a forecast section 12 and a demultiplexer 8. An odd number line output among outputs of the multiplexer 8 is fed alternately odd line memories 9, 10 and an even order line output is inputted to an even number line memory 13. The output of the memories 9, 10 is selected by a multiplexer 11, inputted to the forecast device 12, and the even order line of picture signal is forecast from the odd number line signal before and after the even number line. The picture signal from the forecast device 12 and the picture signal of the even number line from the memory 13 are ORed by an OR gate 14. Then a picture signal of line density converting picture is outputted from a transmission section 15 to the transmission line 16. |
