PURPOSE:To automatically maintain a stopping condition while a car is stopped regardless of a road surface condition by increasing or decreasing a driving force so as to reduce a car speed when said car is stopping, and maintaining said driving force as it is when the car speed has become zero. CONSTITUTION:When a car stopping time judging means 53 judges from the output signal of an operating condition detecting means 51, for example, that an automatic transmission is selecting a traveling range and the amount of operation of an accelerator pedal is zero, with the car being in a stopped condition. The judging means of the car stopping time judging means 53, and a car speed variation judging means 54 into which the output signal of a car speed detecting means 52 is inputted, are inputted in an arithmetic means 56. Then, the means 56 outputs a signal, which controls the driving force of a car so as to make the car speed zero in accordance with the results of these judgment. Thereby, an adjusting means 57 adjusts the opening of a throttle valve, an ignition timing, fuel- feeding quantity, connecting condition of a clutch, etc. based on the output of the arithmetic means 56, to maintain the stopping condition. |
