PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a signal processing circuit and to improve a reproduction picture in quality by separating a luminance signal and a chrominance signal by a comb-shaped filter and by removing noise in a color band by utilizing the filter at the time of reproduction. CONSTITUTION:An NTSC composite signal (a) is added to a comb-shaped filter 13 of a video signal processing circuit and separated into a luminance signal and a chrominance signal by the filter 13. The luminance signal is FM-modulated in an FM modulation circuit 2, synthesized in a synthesizing circuit 3 with a chrominance signal to be subjected low-band convertion in a low-band convertor circuit 8, and recorded on a magnetic tape by a magnetic head 10. At the time of reproduction, an FM modulated component of a reproduction signal is taken out by an HPF5, and a reproduction luminance signal is outputted from an FM demodulation circuit 6 and added to the filter 13, which removes noise in a color band. A mixer circuit 9 mixes the reproduction luminance signal with a reproduction chrominance signal, the constitution of a circuit is simplified and a reproduction picture is improved in quality. |
