<p>PURPOSE:To reliably prevent jolting of a pad, by a method wherein a bos, attached to the front end of a steering shaft, is formed with a boss body and two mounting members disposed to the opposite sides thereof, and a solar gear is situated to the outer periphery of each mounting member. CONSTITUTION:A boss 12, attached to the front end of a steering shaft 11, is formed with a boss body 13 and mounting members 14 and 15 on the pad side and the column side. The mounting member 15 on the column side is formed in about an annular shape, the mounting member 14 on the pad side is formed in about an oblong, and the mounting members are secured to the boss body k3 by means of screws 15a and 19. A boss plate 24 having a spoke 25 is fastened to the boss body 13. Solar gears 27 and 28 are engaged with the outer peripheries of the mounting members 14 and 15, respectively, through a bearing 26, and a bottom plate 36 of a pad 35 is secured to the solar gear 27 by means of a screw 34. The two solar gears 27 and 28 are engaged with planetary gears 38 at the opposite ends of a shaft 31, which are supported on the shaft 31 by means of the boss plate 24.</p> |
