PURPOSE:To provide an elastic sealant which is resistant to rancid gasoline and is tack-free, prepd. by forming a polyester layer on one or both sides of a substrate consisting of an unsatd. nitrile/conjugated diene copolymer rubber. CONSTITUTION:The elastic sealant is prepd. by forming a layer of polyester (e.g. polyester-ether copolymer) on one or both sides of a substrate consisting of an unsatd. nitrile/conjugated diene copolymer rubber (e.g. acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer rubber). The sealant has practically sufficient resistance to rancid gasoline and does not become tacky. It is suitable for sealing of areas where it comes in contact with rancid gasoline and metal parts.
