PURPOSE:To inform a telephone number in a simple and assured way by recording the bar codes corresponding to the telephone number to a card and reading these bar codes to inform the telephone number. CONSTITUTION:A changeover switch SW18 is provided at a key input part 1C of the main body 1 of a telephone number informing system. This switch SW18 is turned to the record side and a telephone number is fed by means of numeric keys 2. Thus the numeric characters of the telephone number are displayed at a display part 1B. Then a visiting card 7 is put into a card inserting part 1D with the name printed side put downward. A microswitch SW9 detects the insertion of the card 7, and the nip rolls 8 are driven to carry the card 7 inside. Then the bar codes corresponding to the numeric characters displayed at the part 1B are recorded on the card 7 by means of a thermal head 11, a platen 12 and an ink film 13. When this recording is over, a microswitch SW10 is actuated to carry the card 7 outside. Then the SW18 is turned to the display side to put the card 7 containing recorded bar codes into the part 1D. Then these codes are read by an optical reading part 17, and the numeric characters corresponding to the bar codes are sent to the part 1B. Then the telephone number is displayed and informed. |
