摘要 PURPOSE:To detect automatically and accurately the position of a fault point right after a short-circuit accident occurs on a DC power transmission line by providing a sampling means for a DC current value and an arithmetic means composed of a microcomputer, etc. CONSTITUTION:The current from an AC power source 11 is converted by a constant voltage rectifier 12 into a direct current to supply voltage-stabilized DC electric power to the transmission line 2. An interrupter 3 and a current detector 4 are provided at the power transmission terminal side of the transmission line 2, and the detector 4 detects the level of the DC current on the transmission line 2. Its detection output is converted by an A/D converter 5 into a digital signal, which is transmitted to a computer. This computer is equipped with a CPU8, memory 9, input/output device 10, DMA interface 6 for fetching a current value from the A/D converter 5, and constant setter 7. Consequently, if a short-circuit accident occurs on the DC power transmission line, the position of the fault point is detected automatically and accurately right after the occurrence.
