PURPOSE:To increase the tolerance limit of the flow velocity of oil that is sucked so as to increase the rate of forward movement of a clamping ram thereby enabling the cycle to be heightened, by jetting a pressure oil into a suction pipe, which communicates the oil tank of an injection molding machine, a die casting machine or the like having a direct-hydraulic mold clamping apparatus to a clamping cylinder, in the same direction as that of the suction of the oil. CONSTITUTION:When clamping is effected, that is, a clamping ram 5 is moved forward, an electromagnetic change-over valve 11 is positioned at A, and the hydraulic oil from an oil chamber 12 that acts as a discharging side when the clamping ram 5 is moved forward is led via a pipeline 13 into a suction pipe 8. The pipeline 13 in the suction pipe 8 jets an oil discharged from the oil chamber 12 in the same direction as that of the oil in the oil tank 3 sucked into the clamping cylinder 1 when the clamping is effected. Accordingly, the pressure oil jetted in the suction pipe 8 via the pipeline 13 when the clamping is effected fills itself the oil chamber 2 under a certain pressure, and in addition thereto, the oil around the pressure oil is attracted by the jetted stream from the pipeline 13, so that the oil passing through the suction pipe 8 is increased in permissible flow velocity. |
