PURPOSE:To enable display of more information by displaying in-home device conditions on a television receiver. CONSTITUTION:A controller 11 with a transmission/reception circuit 1 and a TV 13 with a transmission/reception circuit 10 and a display controller 12 are connected through a divider 8 to a transmission line. When the device 12 is in disuse, the TV 13 acts as a normal TV. When the device 12 acts, the system instructs the controller 11 to send each device code and sends such a stored code to a corresponding device 12. When all the codes are inputted to a RAM 23 in the device 12, an MPU 22 reads picture data corresponding to the codes from a picture ROM 25 and displays the data through a display circuit 26 on a TV screen.
