PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy restoring job with a facsimile equipment which transmits the picture information equivalent to plural sheets of recording paper, by using a mechanical energizing means to shift back an orogonal by a prescribed amount and transmitting with overlap the picture information on the divided areas. CONSTITUTION:When the drive of a motor M is stopped, a tensioner 30 has the counterclockwise oscillations as a whole centering on the fulcrum of a spring 31 by the restoring force of the spring 31. Therefore a roller 32 of the tensioner 30 functions to draw a belt V hooked between the motor M and carry rolls 4 to the left side as shown in the figure. As a result, a belt V is stretched between the motor M and carry rolls 4'. Then the drawing force of the tensioner 30 is transmitted to the rolls 4' via the roller 32 of a tensioner 30'. This force is then transmitted also to the rolls 4 via the rolls 4'. As a result, the rolls 4 and 4' are revolved clockwise and an original 1 is shifted backward, i.e., to the right side in the figure. This shift of the original 1 is stopped when the balance is obtained between the reactions of springs 31 and 31' at both sides of the motor M.
