PURPOSE:To provide a photographic characteristic having high sensitivity and high contrast by providing layer formed by compounding a specific dye with a monodisperse silver halide emulsion in which >=75mol% of the entire silver halide is silver chloride and <=2mol% is silver iodide on a base.
