PURPOSE:To obtain a heat roll fixer good in heat responsive property by using a cylindrical ceramic heater formed by inserting a heating element such as nichrome or tungsten wire into a sintered material high in electrically insulating property and thermal conductivity directly as a heat roll. CONSTITUTION:Rod-shaped heaters 13 made of nichrome or tungsten wires are inserted into a sintered ceramic material 14 high in insulating property but good in thermal conductivity composed essentially of AlN, Si3N4, Al2O3, or the like to form a cylindrical ceramic heater, and it is directly used as a heat roll. The figure illustrates an example, in which the 8 heaters 13 are inserted into the sintered material 14, and its surface is coated with a 50mum thick releasable film 5 made of fluororesin, silicone resin or the like. |
