PURPOSE:To prevent combination of a bearing metal with S in lubricating oil and wear of said metal by constituting a supercharger bearing for a gasoline engine of a floating metal made of a specifically composed Cu-Zn alloy as well as snap ring and thrust bushing, etc. between a shaft and the bearing. CONSTITUTION:A supercharger for a gasoline engine is coupled with a turbine vane wheel 1 and a blowing vane wheel 2 by a common shaft 3. The shaft 3 is freely rotatably supported via a floating metal 5 with respect to a bearing bushing 4. Detaining members such as a snap ring 7 regulating the sliding range of the metal 5 and a thrust bushing 9 are attached thereto. The metal 5 in this case is made of an alloy consisting of 57-61% Cu, 2.5-3.5% Pb and Fe and Sn as impurities in which <0.5% Fe, <1.0% Fe+Sn and the balance Sn. The peeling and wear of the bushing 4 are thereby prevented as the blackened layer consisting essentially of Cu2S is formed by S in the lubricating oil. |
