PURPOSE:To injection mold an expanded plate for a polypropylene resin container excellent in rigidity and mechanical strength, by using a composition containing a special polypropylene resin and a nucleating agent. CONSTITUTION:The intended expanded plate 2 has an average thickness of 0.3- 3mm., and an area of 100cm<2> or more and includes folding lines 12 and notches 13-16. The average thickness at the folding lines is about 5% or more of the average thickness of the expanded plate and is 0.1-2.0mm.. The polypropylene resin should contain 50wt% of polypropylene resin having a melt index (MI) of at least 10g/min. 0.01-2pts.wt. of nucleating agent are added to 100pts.wt. of this polypropylene resin. Thus a homogeneous expanded plate can be obtained without causing problems such as cobwebbing although a polypropylene resin good in fluidity is used. The obtained expanded plate is excellent in rigidity, Izod impact value, etc. |
