PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of positioning and to execute it quickly by fixing one pair of plural upper and lower metallic dies to a base, making the other corresponding pair movable in the horizontal direction against the fixed metallic die, and also providing a butted part on one of the dies. CONSTITUTION:On a lower base 1, a fixed die 18 and a movable die 19 are provided on a fixed die plate 12 and a movable die plate 13, respectively. A fixed punch 16 and a movable punch 17 are placed on a press slider 2. When a servo- motor 20 is rotated by a positioning command of a control device, screw shafts 40A, 40B rotate through bevel gears 23, 27A, etc., and the movable die plate 13 and a movable punch plate 11 move horizontally. By stopping the motor 20, the movable die 19 and the movable punch 17 can be positioned exactly. Subsequently, a work butted part 49 sets a work to a desired position by driving to rotate a screw shaft 47 in accordance with a command from the control device. According to this method, the positioning time is shortened, and an accuracy is also raised. |
