PURPOSE:To manufacture easily and inexpensively male and female dies by utilizing the photographic film which can form simultaneously patterns for the male and female dies. CONSTITUTION:A die pattern is printed to a layer 4 of a photographic film inposed with a photosensitive resin layer 4 and a metallic foil layer 5 between the 1st and 2nd base materials 1 and 2. The materials 1, 2 are then stripped therefrom and the materials 1, 2 are applied onto blank materials 8, 11 for male and female dies on the surfaces of which photosensitive resist layers 7, 10 are formed. The materials are thereafter exposed from the outside of the materials 1, 2. The patterns for the male and female dies by the cured layers 7, 10 are then formed on the outside surfaces of the materials 8, 11. The materials 1, 2 are thereafter etched, by which male and female dies 9, 12 are manufactured. The cost of manufacturing the male and female dies is thus considerably reduced.
