摘要 PURPOSE:To subject the liquid Na which is used as a coolant in an atomic reactor reactor and is contaminated by radiations to stabilization treatment as Na amalgam by releasing the Na from the bottom of a reaction vessel contg. Hg always at every specified rate in the state of liquid drops and bringing the same into thorough reaction with Hg while ascending in the Hg. CONSTITUTION:The liquid Na contaminated by radiations is supplied always at a specified flow rate through a supply conduit 4 of an Na reservoir 6 held always at a specified depth by an overflow pipe 5 into the bottom of a reaction vessel 1. The liquid Na is risen as many liquid drops through the many small holes provided to a supply pipe 4a and is risen in the Hg by a difference in specific gravity. Na and Hg react during this time to form the amalgam of Na which floats and accumulates on the surface of the Hg and therefore the amalgam is discharged by a discharge pipe 10. The liquid Na contaminated by radiations is thus subjected to a stabilization treatment by amalgamation.
