PURPOSE:To produce sintered ore having excellent reducibility, cold strength and resistance to reduction powdering in the stage of producing sintered ore for a blast furnace by mixing high-CaO mini-pellets and low-CaO mini-pellets contg. sinter returns respectively with other iron ore powder and coke powder so that a specific amt. of CaO is incorporated therein. CONSTITUTION:Sinter returns A and fluxes B, C contg. much CaO are treated with a pelletizer 1 to manufacture semi-pellets P1 contg. >15% CaO. The low- CaO pelletized raw material P2 formed by mixing such P1 and iron ore powders D, E, F as well as coke powder G in a mixer 2 is mixed with a secondary mixer 3 and is stored as the raw material for sintered ore contg. 6.5-12.0% CaO in a surge hopper 4. Or iron ore powders D, E, F and coke G in addition to the P1 and P2 are further pelletized to mini-pellets P3 contg. <4% CaO by a pelletizer and are mixed in a secondary mixer 3. The raw material for sintered ore contg. 6.5-12.0% CaO is used by using the mixture composed of the semi-pellets contg. >15% CaO without contg. the sinter returns and the above-described P3 or the raw material mixed with P2 in addition thereto by the mixer 3.
