The invention relates to the easy placing of roof covering materials of the round tile type. It enables, when used on any type of support, the round tiles to be held perfectly and firmly in place and to be interchanged without problem. It comprises a rectilinear part LS supporting a part in the form of small juxtaposed arches AS intended for receiving the lower tiles placed with the head towards the top of the roofing. The part of the element LC which is intended for holding the covering tiles in place by insertion from below and for fixing these same tiles at the other end by folding over the tab (formation of a hook) is fastened at each intersection of two neighbouring small arches. <IMAGE>
