PURPOSE:To enable prevention of the occurrence of a hazard such as low temperature burn, by a method wherein a heating temperature in the case of the independent use of only a carpet body and that in the case of the use in a condition in which a cover is placed on the body are respectively set to an optimum value. CONSTITUTION:In case a carpet body is independently used, a control piece 16 of a cover 5 is not inserted into a control part 15 of a controller 4 of a body 1, and thereby, a switch 13 of the conroller 4 is brought to an OFF-action, and as compared with a heating temperature set when the body is used in a condition in which the cover 5 is placed thereon, the heating tempeature is set to a lower value. In case the cover 5 is placed on the body 1 for the use, the control piece 16 is inserted into the control part 15 of the controller 4, the switch 13 is brought to an ON-action, and a temperature set resistance 12 is short-circuited. As compared with a heating temperature set when the body 1 is independently used, the heating temperature is set to a higher value, and the temperature of the surface of the cover 5 is set to an optimum heating temperature level. |
