PURPOSE:To make reference ignition timing automatically adjustable to an optimum value at once even in time of an extreme convertion of gasoline in use, by making responsiveness to the adjustment of reference ignitio timing variable by knocking detection. CONSTITUTION:At a lag timing advance controlled variable setting part 3 determining a lag timing advance controlled variable for checking the occurrence of a knock in an engine from output of a knock discriminating part 2, since speed for up and down in output voltage of an integrator 317 is required for instantaneous responsiveness, it is set to such a value as being relatively speedy in the responsiveness, it is set to such a value as being relatively speedy in the responsiveness. Likewise, the responsiveness at a time when a reference ignition timing displacement quantity setting part 4, which determines the displacement quantity of reference ignition timing, is displaced to both timing advance and lag timing advance sides, is relatively slow in relation to the responsiveness of the lag timing advance controlled variable setting part 3. Accordingly, output of the lag timing advance controlled setting part 3 is connected to a time control input whereby the responsiveness of the said ignition timing setting part 4 is made variable according to the lag timing controlled variable. With this constitution, the responsiveness at the lag timing advance side of the setting part 4 is made to be speedy, conforming to the occasion of gasoline convertion. |
