PURPOSE:To reduce the bending moment of a plate-like part which is made out of the guide part of a friction piston type carbureter and make the guide plate thinner by bringing the contact point of the guide plate with a groove to a point close to the center of a piston. CONSTITUTION:The diameter of a friction piston 20 which contains a needle at the lower end of the center thereof is made shorter than the diameter of an intake shell. A piston 20 is moved up and down by guiding a guide plate 20b provided at both sides of the piston 20, along a guide groove 11 formed on the internal face of the intake shell. If the guide plate 20B is shaped as to get thinner toward the end part thereof or as to have a noth S at the end part thereof, the contact point of the guide plate 20B with the groove 11 can be displaced near the center of the piston. Resultantly, the bending moment acting on the plate is reduced and the concentrated stress acting on the joint part of the plate with the piston is attenuated, on account of which if thin, the plate will not be broken. |
