摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to perform the positioning of the gate trigger part with superior reliability by a method wherein the metal guides for fixation are fixed by adhesion on the surface of the thyristor element with an adhesion film in a condition that the exit end of the internal optical guide or the contact end of the conductive gate lead has been properly positioned to the pellet light-receiving part on the gate electrode. CONSTITUTION:Metal guides 25 for fixation are adhered on the surface of a thyristor element 2 with an insulating protective film 24, with which a light-receiving part electrode 22 and an auxiliary gate electrode 23 have been coated. According to this way, the positioning precision of the exit end of an internal optical guide 11 and a pellet light-receiving part 19 results in being limited to such a condition as to be decided by four elements of the relative tolerance between the pellet light-receiving part 19 and the metal guides 25 for fixation, the tolerance between the inside and outside diameters of the metal guides 25 for fixation, the tolerance between the inside and outside diameters of a supporting jig 14 and the length of the internal optical guide 11. As a result, an upgrade of the positioning precision of the exit end of the internal optical guide 11 and the pellet light-receiving part 19 can be expected and the dispersion of the arc characteristic of this thyristor can be lessened.
