COLD ROLLING OIL FOR STEEL PLATE

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the titled rolling oil effective to prevent the slipping and chattering caused by the abrasion of work roll, and improve the productivity, by adding a specific amount of a higher alcohol or an unsaturated fatty acid to a base oil comprising a synthetic ester having low viscosity. CONSTITUTION:The objective rolling oil can be produced by using a synthetic ester (e.g. octyl stearate) or its mixture with an animal or vegetable oil (e.g. beef tallow) as a base oil having a viscosity of <=15cst at 50 deg.C, and adding 5- 20%, preferably 7-15% higher alcohol (e.g. oleyl alcohol) or unsaturated fatty acid (e.g. linoleic acid) to the base oil.
