The water vapour ejector according to the present invention comprises an ejection nozzle 8 which enlarges in the direction of its end and through which the working water vapour is ejected into an aspiration chamber 1 so as to produce working water vapour having an elevated speed, and a diffuser 17 comprising a neck section connected to the aspiration chamber and through which are made to pass the working water vapour and a gas to be extracted in order to obtain a strong vacuum, a means intended to separate the mist from the working water vapour being arranged between the neck section of the ejection nozzle and the inlet of the diffuser, a means 15 also being provided to evacuate the separated mist to the outside of the system. <IMAGE>
