The two edges of a metal strip (2) have their cut-outs located centrally to each other, and with a length which is greater than the height of the protective casing. The depths of the cut-outs correspond to half of the height of the casing. Between opposing cut-outs is a row of holes (3), with the cut-outs arranged along the strip at a distance from each other corresp. to double the length of the casing. The strip is then cut centrally between the cut-outs, and the thus obtained strip part (4) edges, limited by the free ends and cut-outs, are folded in the same direction at right-angles out of the plane of the strip. The strip parts are bent with the hole rows as a bending area, so that the bent edges form two of the sides of the casing. The electronic unit, encased in a damp-tight capsule of e.g. foam plastic, is fitted in the casing, and the free paired, connected edges (6) of the sides are fixed to each other. |
