The turbine is provided with a passive device for trimming the turbine in yaw, thus setting and maintaining the orientation of the wind turbine into the wind despite blade flapping and/or teetering about the hub teeter axis. The yaw trimmer is provided by an offset disposition of the yaw axis from the axis of rotation of the hub. The amount of offset disposition is determined by the average wind velocity for the locality in which the turbine is to operate, the magnitude of the average velocity gradient, and the geometry of the turbine. Dut to flapping or teetering of the blades, the thrust vector is angularly offset or cocked from the hub axis of rotation.
