PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the heating function and to prevent cold air from blowing out at the time of defrosting as well as to prevent water from freezing at the time of defrosting by using either room air temperature adjusting thermostat or circulating water temperature adjusting thermostat for defrosting control too. CONSTITUTION:For an actuating circuit, the contact point 12 of a relay coil 10 which is controlled by either room air or circulating water temprature adjusting thermostat 9 is connected parallelly to (b) contact point 5 of a relay coil 4. When a heating mode operation is demanded under a condition where the thermostat 9 is closed, the contact point 12 is closed, and so, even if there is a defrosting command to an deicer 1 to cause contact point (b) to be opened, a four-way valve coil 8 is electrified, inhibiting the defrosting mode operation. When the thermostat 9 is opened, and the heating mode operation is not required, the contact point 12 is also opened, and, upon the defrosting command to the deicer 1, contact point (b) is opened to deelectrify the four-way valve coil 8, assuming the defrosting mode operation. After the defrosting mode operation is assumed, the defrosting mode operation is shifted to the heating mode operation at the moment when the thermostat 9 is closed and the heating mode operation is demanded.
