COLD ROLLING OIL FOR STEEL PLATE

PURPOSE:To provide the titled rolling oil effective to prevent the slipping and chattering caused by the abrasion of work roll, and improve the productivity, by adding specific amounts of a neutral phosphoric acid ester and a powdery solid lubricant to a base oil comprising a natural wax having a specific saponification value. CONSTITUTION:The objective rolling oil can be produced by using a natural wax having a saponification value of <=120 (e.g. cotton wax) as a base oil, and adding (A) 1-10%, preferably 2-7% neutral phosphoric acid ester (e.g. tricresyl phosphate) and/or (B) 5-20%, preferably 7-15% powdery solid lubricant (e.g. calcium carbonate surface-treated with a resin acid) to the base oil.
