PURPOSE:The titled decomposition agent for reducing peroxides in a substance and an organism, decomposing peroxides of lipid, etc. by the use of a specific amine. CONSTITUTION:An agent for decomposing lipid peroxides containing one or more primary-tertiary amine (other substituent groups are H, or alkyl) containing 1-3 hydroxyalkyl groups (e.g., ethanolamine, n-propanolamine, etc.) selected from alkylamine(primary) (e.g., ethylamine, etc.), thioalkylamine(primary) (e.g., 2-thioethylamine, etc.), aromatic hydrocarbon (e.g., aniline, etc.) containing 1-2 amino groups (NH2-), sodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate dihydrate, and triethylenediamine as an active ingredient. A dose is 0.1-100mg/kg.day in case of oral administration and 0.01-2mg/kg.day in case of parenteral administration.
