PURPOSE:To reduce cost of tape by separably laminating a carrier tape and its protection tape and transferring them. CONSTITUTION:A film carrier tape is composed, for example, of a carrier tape 1 where a plating layer 3 such as tin is formed on a copper foil 2. This carrier tape 1 has an inner lead 6 for fixing and connecting a bump 5 made of gold, etc. of a pellet 4. A protection tape 7 has the width and pitch of feed holes which are substantially the same as the width and the pitch of feed holes 8 of the carrier tape 1. This protection tape 7 and carrier tape 1 are respectively laminated so that the feed holes 18 are matched but these are not fixed each other and can be separated easily. Therefore, since the carrier tape 1 is made of only a metal foil, a cost of tape is very low and the carrier tape 1 is transferred together with the protection tape 7. Accordingly, the carrier tape 1 is not deformed and broken and the protection tape 7 can be used many times repeatedly. |
