A figure placement game consists of a playing board (1), in which a plurality of groups (20, 30, 40, ...) of figure shapes (20a, 20b, 20c, ...) are formed, in the form of recesses. All the figure shapes are of mutually different designs, but their surface areas are equal. A set (100) of modules (100a, 100b, 100c, ...), defining a corresponding total surface area, has to be placed in one figure shape per module. The figure placement game can be played with a plurality of players, each player being allocated a group of figure shapes. Moreover, each player has a set of modules, the different sets being differently coloured. <IMAGE>
