The invention relates to a construction kit for producing compartments, shelf units, display walls and the like, consisting of stands, connecting parts and horizontal supports. The construction kit allows easy and rapid assembly and, if required, demounting, avoids visible connection pieces and connectors and is unlimited in shape and colour in terms of its variety of designs. According to the invention, the stands consist of at least two profiled rods which are shaped like a bow in cross-section, the individual bow strips of the profiled rods engaging behind one another and connection pieces engaging in the grooves formed by adjacent profiled rods, on which connection pieces the horizontal supports are mounted. <IMAGE>
