PURPOSE:To obtain molded parts with excellent strength and external appearance by a method wherein reinforcing fibers, which are not yet, impregnated with resin, are arranged in a cavity and solid resin is poured in the cavity while being melted by the heat of a mold part so as to impregnate the fibers with the resin. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, carbon fiber roving 2 is wound around as urethane foam core 1 for golf clubhead. Secondly, the resultant core 1 is put in mold halves 4 and 5 equipped with a cavity having the form of a clubhead. Thirdly, after the mold halves are clamped, the core 1 is heated by a bar heater 6 up to 150 deg.C and then applied with releasing agent. Fourthly, a tablet 7 prepared from epoxy resin, hardening agent and catalyst is put in a heating chamber 8 and pressed, while being melted, by a plunger 10 through a gate 9 into the cavity 3. A carbon golf clubhead with fine external appearance and no void is obtained by being hardened at the elevated temperature of 150 deg.C under the pressure of 50kg/cm<2> and removed from the mold halves. |
