PURPOSE:To print without missing of information by providing plural font memories different in line character number corresponding to the edition pattern of a document outputted from an external equipment, and generating warning when the document information is inadequate thereto. CONSTITUTION:A document is generated by a prescribed edition pattern by operating a keyboard in a personal computer. In giving a command so as to transmit the document to a facsimile equipment 1n, a command signal to select an 80-character font memory 7 or a 132-character font memory 8 at first, and a character code are transferred next. A CPU6 judges to show the number of lines of the document in the facsimile equipment 1n, and a sensor 3 detects the paper size of a paper feed cassette to check the propriety of the both. When the both are matched, the document is printed out based on the document code inputted sequentially and when not matched, the warning and display representing it are conducted.
