A cutting wheel (12) on an alternating plough is mounted on a lever (14) which is mounted on a carrier (18) about a horizontal pivot axis (16). The carrier (18) carries stops (20, 22), between which the lever (14) is pivotable through an angle of at least 180 DEG .
