A transparent slide (22) is supported in a transparent supporting body (10) such that it can be displaced, which slide (22) projects downwards with a peg (24) through a base slot (26). Two scales (28, 30) on the supporting body (10) and the slide (22) interact on the vernier principle. The scale (28) division corresponds to the ring width of the practice target. A marking ring (34) of the base side of the supporting body (10) is used for centring the supporting body with respect to the practice target. The apparatus allows hit evaluation to an accuracy of approximately 0.2 mm. <IMAGE>
