Electrical door opener, for example for a house door, which is received in a recess in the door frame and which has a pivoting latch equipped with a stop strip which, in the closing position, engages immovably over a bolt of the door and which, when an electromagnet is activated, can pivot into an open position releasing the bolt, there being rotatably mounted adjacent to the pivoting latch a blocking body which has a stop edge butting against a stop edge of the pivoting latch in the closing position and which can pivot into the open position, in which its stop edge does not obstruct the movement of the pivoting latch.
