The structural height of the exciter contact arrangement according to the document DE-PS 3,416,368 is intended to be significantly reduced in size, and it is at the same time also intended to reinforce its magnetising effect. The internal electrical conductivity is intended to be increased in order to reduce the current heat losses. For this purpose, the current conducting body 2, which is in the form of a crossbar, is arranged inside the space (which is enclosed by the body 21 which is in the form of a circular ring) of the exciter contact arrangement. Inwardly pointing projections 9, which are in the form of brackets, originate from the body 21 which is in the form of a circular ring, on which projections the contact and electro body 8 is supported over a large area.
