A display and sales shelf unit has shelves (1) which are L-shaped in cross-section for magazines, paperback novels or other articles. The shelf (1) is preferably arranged obliquely relative to the vertical and to support rails (7) and is supported by supports (2) running obliquely to the vertical. Provided on at least one end side of a shelf (1) is a suspension device (9), which is connected thereto, or an angle rail (11) for an additional container (10) which can likewise accommodate magazines or other articles. Better use can thus be made of the space taken up by such a shelf unit and the front ends of the shelves (1) are given a lateral termination. <IMAGE>
