PURPOSE:To make it possible to start a power generation system without using a motor or a speed change gear by leading the compressed air discharged from a compressed air feeding device to a modifier through a compressor and by stopping the compressed air feeding device at the time when the temperature of the exhaust gas from the modifier has risen enough to drive a turbine. CONSTITUTION:When starting, valves 16, 17 are closed and valves 18, 22 are opened to operate a blower 21 of a compressed air feeding device 19. Then the compressed air discharged from the blower 21 is fed into the inlet of a compressor 12 and, after passing through this compressor 12, supplied to a modifier 2. Under this condition, the fuel is supplied to the modifier 2 and its temperature is raised. In this way, the temperature of the exhaust gas, which is discharged from the modifier 2 and fed into the inlet of a turbine 13, rises and the turbine 13 starts to rotate. At the time when the temperature of the exhaust gas from the modifier 2 gets higher enough to make the turbine 13 operate by itself, the valve 22 is closed to stop the operation of the compressed air feeding device 19 and the valve 16 is opened so that air is taken in and compressed by the compressor 12. |
