PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of nonuniformity in quality and deterioration of quality by a method wherein an asphalt foam sheet is impregnated with urethane prepolymer or with organic isocyanate and, after that, heated and pressurized so as to be formed into a sheet. CONSTITUTION:An upper skin 3 and a lower skin 4, both of which are left after the slicing operation of asphalt foam block, are laminated to each other with their rough surfaces facing inside. An asphalt board 5 with smooth front and back surfaces can be manufactured by heating and pressurizing said laminated skins 3 and 4. Due to the method as mentioned above, the upper skin 3 and lower skin 4, both of which have formerly be disposed of as scrap, can be re- used. The obtained asphalt board is porous because of the original asphalt foam, from which said sins are sliced off, being porous, and can be used as sound absorbing material, building material, road construction material and the like. |
