PURPOSE:To arrange so that a drop of power supply voltage caused by an overload may be prevented by temporarily stopping a printing action in a following line in case the total number of dots in a single line is more than an estimated total number of dots on the average, overloading a power supply. CONSTITUTION:A dot pattern of a single dot line is inputted to a dot counter 3 from a print buffer memory 11 at a signal from a print control circuit 12, and a total dot number printed in a single line is cumulatively calculated by an arithmometer 4. When the content of the arithmometer 4 is nothing as a result of the subtraction of a total dot number corresponding to the power supply capacity preset in a subtraction value setting circuit 6, a series of actions are repeated on the following print line. In the meantime, if the content is not nothing, it is detected by a ''0'' detector 5 and a printing action inhibiting signal is sent to the print control circuit 12 through an arithmetic control circuit 8. At the same time, the arithmometer 4 is caused to perform an arithmetic operation and if the content is nothing, a printing action suspension state is cancelled. |
