In order to be able to prepare commercially available ready meals in cans, instant drinks and instant soups in any location (e.g. in a car, boat, when camping, etc.), a mobile device is proposed which consists of the following three components: a) The basic unit (1) has a universal voltage adaptor, is open at the top and has appropriate guide grooves (5) and current contact strips for receiving the can-warming device, which is constructed as an insert, and the device for preparing hot water. b) The can-warming device (2) has a thermally insulated recess in which the can is placed and, when the lid (6) is closed, is warmed by an electric heating device situated at the bottom of the recess. c) The device for preparing hot water consists of the insertion module (3) with a round opening which is formed as an enclosure and into which the beaker (10) is inserted in such a way that the heating coil projecting into the beaker from the beaker bottom is in electrical contact with the insertion module (3) after an appropriate safety rotation of the beaker. <IMAGE>
